Hole 1

PAR 4 | 372-324-311-271 YARDS

A properly placed tee shot down the left side of the fairway will leave a short iron approach into this small narrow green. Any shot hit over the green will leave a difficult up and down, possibly setting up bogey or worse.

Hole 2

PAR 4 | 440-402-390-311 YARDS

The conservative play on this demanding par 4 is to aim down the left side of the fairway. Taking an aggressive line down the right side over the bunkers provides the shortest approach shot into this well-guarded green. Club selection is critical for an opportunity at a realistic birdie putt.

Hole 3

PAR 5 | 585-553-536-459 YARDS

Water makes it debut on this initial par 5. The key here is taking the right side out of play with a well-placed tee shot down the left side. A true three-shot par 5, playing for position down the left side will leave a short iron into a small target green. A birdie putt awaits the golfer who strikes his approach shot at the correct distance.

Hole 4

PAR 4 | 414-373-357-284 YARDS

Long hitters can challenge the carry of the fairway bunker to set up a shorter, open-angled approach into this well-guarded green. The undulating green which is protected in front by water can be difficult to putt.

Hole 5

PAR 3 | 223-196-178-143 YARDS

The fifth is a long and demanding par 3 that is well guarded down the left side with sand. A high soft iron shot is required to navigate this well-protected green. Par will be a good score.

Hole 6

PAR 5 | 559-512-500-425 YARDS

The ideal line off the tee is just left of center. Aggressive players may challenge the bunkers down the right side providing an option to go for the green or setting up the perfect lay-up approach. An elevated target green makes proper distance control a must.

Hole 7

PAR 4 | 372-349-332-259 YARDS

A drive placed down the right side of the fairway provides the best angle and visibility to approach this green. This green is not very wide, so accuracy is a necessity. Birdie is a distinct possibility for shots carrying the proper distance.

Hole 8

PAR 3 | 197-146-127-70 YARDS

The shortest hole on the course, this narrow green demands both accuracy and proper club selection off the tee. Avoid being short and right!

Hole 9

PAR 4 | 382-358-342-269 YARDS

A generous landing area for your tee shot will leave a short iron approach to this elevated green. Club selection is critical because depth perception may be difficult on one of the smallest greens on the front nine. Missing the green to either side will leave a challenging up and down most likely resulting in bogey.

Hole 10

PAR 4 | 461-408-390-314 YARDS

The longest par 4 on the back nine requires a lengthy tee shot down a fairway that is protected on both sides by large bunkers. An accurate approach is needed to navigate a green that is guarded by a menacing bunker in front. This undulating green will challenge even the best putters.

Holer 11

PAR 3 | 184-151-135-108 YARDS

This scenic par 3 requires accurate club selection for a legitimate shot at birdie. Don't be long, as a steep slope funnels golf balls into a deep collection area making an up and down extremely difficult.

Hole 12

PAR 4 | 433-368-355-293 YARDS

Drives toward the left will provide a better angle to this elongated green tucked behind a small knoll. Par will be a challenge for any approach shot that misses the green to the left. Subtle contours on this green can make putting a difficult task.

Hole 13

PAR 4 | 453-399-383-290 YARDS

Positioning your tee shot accurately is the focus of this hole. Recovering from the either fairway bunker may be difficult. The ideal angle requires a shot down the left side leaving you a short iron approach. This green is large and relatively flat allowing birdie opportunities for shots carrying the precise distance.

Hole 14

PAR 4 | 438-388-372-285 YARDS

The preferred line off the tee is to play to the right side of the fairway. There is no room for error as a small target green hangs precariously out over the water featuring a bulkheaded green. A courageous shot to any flagstick located left of center will be rewarded by having a relative flat putt. A large collection area to the right gathers all shots intent on avoiding this menacing water hazard.

Hole 15

PAR 5 | 532-486-472-422 YARDS

Swing freely on this medium-length par 5 designed with a generously wide fairway. A long straight tee shot sets up perfectly for a second shot toward the green. Any lay-up short of the green requires a precise wedge shot to reach the flag. Putts can be tricky once arriving on the green.

Hole 16

PAR 3 | 210-177-158-116 YARDS

Check your yardage carefully! You can't afford to miss it short. The signature sixteenth hole features a daunting carry over water to a shallow firm green protected in front and back by deep bunkers. Holding this putting surface will be a challenge. Leaving the green with a par or better will inspire you to finish strong.

Hole 17

PAR 4 | 413-390-377-327 YARDS

Tee shots should favor the right side of the fairway to obtain a clear view of the flagstick. When the hole is cut back left, don't be intimidated by the blind second shot; just trust your yardage. A well-played second shot will set up a birdie opportunity.

Hole 18

PAR 5 | 576-557-545-409 YARDS

This exciting finishing hole offers you a chance to finish strong. Favor the right side of the fairway for obvious reasons. Bunkers frame the fairway and provide a second shot target. Avoid the expansive waste area down the entire left side, and a birdie opportunity on the scorecard awaits!

Arnold Palmer

Hole 1

PAR 4 | 421-384-360-352-296 YARDS

A slight draw around the corner of this opening dogleg leaves you in perfect position for a short iron approach. The astute golfer will stay away from any shot that is short and right of the green. Hint; Green slopes severely from left to right.

Hole 2

PAR 3 | 162-144-128-111-95 YARDS

Enjoy the view on this elevated par three with a gently undulating green. A 50 foot drop in elevation makes this hole play one or two clubs short, but be careful to first check the direction of the wind.

Hole 3

PAR 4 | 538-511-482-450-405

Find the fairway off the tee and you can reach the green in two. Other options include laying up and having a short iron approach into this green. This undulating green will make most birdie putts challenging.

Hole 4

PAR 4 | 353-339-327-285-259 YARDS

Taking aim at the right center of the fairway is the first objective on this short but demanding par 4. A precise short iron is required to hold this shallow firm green that slopes dramatically from back to front.

Hole 5

PAR 3 | 180-170-155-144-117 YARDS

Don't let your guard down on this well landscaped medium-length par 3. Characterized by its multilevel green, par will be a good score.

Hole 6

PAR 4 | 415-376-351-343-298 YARDS

A drive down the right provides the shortest approach shot to this two-tiered green. Club selection is critical for an opportunity at a realistic birdie putt.

Hole 7

PAR 4 | 303-274-249-209-180 YARDS

The rarest of great holes, a true short par 4, one that many players can theoretically reach with their drives, poses the ultimate risk-reward decision on the tee. The severely undulating green is flanked by deep bunkers.

Hole 8

PAR 4 | 462-438-422-401-346 YARDS

A well-struck tee shot will take you left of center avoiding the bunkers on the right. A mid to long iron approach will be required to hold this large gently sloping green. Par is a very respectable score.

Hole 9

PAR 5 | 552-526-515-489-430 YARDS

Playing downwind this is a reachable par 5. Significantly topography down both sides of the fairway may present awkward lies. A gently sloping green allows for birdie opportunities.

Hole 10

PAR 5 | 601-581-553-493-461 YARDS

This dogleg right par 5 is a three shot hole for virtually all players. Well placed bunkers on the right will capture shots aimed at cutting the dogleg. Hit as much club as possible on the second shot and leave yourself a short iron approach to this large gently sloping green.

Hole 11

PAR 4 | 409-378-352-340-279 YARDS

Key strategy on this hole is to avoid the bunkers down the left side which provides an excellent view of the green from atop this elevated fairway. The player will face a large putting surface that may be difficult to navigate depending on the flagstick position.

Hole 12

PAR 4 | 423-377-349-334-266 YARDS

A generous landing area for your tee shot will leave a short to mid iron approach to this elevated green. Club selection is critical because depth perception may be difficult. Missing the green to the right will leave a challenging up and down most likely resulting in a bogey.

Hole 13

PAR 4 | 443-416-379-339-269

The Legacy's toughest par 4 requires a well struck tee shot. The green is guarded on the left by water and on the right by bunkers. Par will be a good score.

Hole 14

PAR 3 | 130-119-113-106-99 YARDS

A picturesque par three with natural marsh surroundings. All tee shots face the challenge of water should they miss right, left or short. Birdie opportunities are numerous for those players hitting iron shots carrying the precise distance.

Hole 15

PAR 5 | 527-487-475-371-348

The tee shot on this mid length par 5 is very demanding but rewards a courageous shot over the water. Aiming farther right is the riskiest but more rewarding line off the tee, leaving the possibility of hitting this par 5 in two.

Hole 16

PAR 3 | 178-160-150-129-92 YARDS

Check flagstick location and wind conditions. These two factors determine your choice of club on this picturesque par 3. Missing the green left may mean bogey or worse.

Hole 17

PAR 4 | 399-357-332-303-288 YARDS

Leave your driver in the bag! Aim for the large tree in the center of the fairway. This will leave a short iron approach to a two-tiered green.

Hole 18

PAR 4 | 420-382-366-330-274 YARDS

A wonderful finishing hole with beautiful landscaping. Take an extra club for the uphill and expansive green that is two-tiered sloping back to front.

Hole 1

PAR 5 | 562-544-528-508-470

Strategically placed bunkers and significant landscaping will test your skill. Pay careful attention to your approach as you are faced with a large two-tiered undulating green.

Hole 2

PAR 4 | 364-353-319-303-267 YARDS

This short par four will always post a strong challenge. Go for broke or play strategically on this risk-reward hole. A large collection area awaits those shots missed to the left of the green.

Hole 3

PAR 3 | 170-152-142-124-101 YARDS

Club selection is crucial into this difficult double-tiered green. Protected by bunkers on the right and a steep collection area to the left, par will be a respectable score.

Hole 4

PAR 4 | 432-422-403-386-240 YARDS

A well-struck tee shot on this dog-leg right par 4 will leave a mid-length iron approach into the largest green on the front nine. Your work has just begun as you skillfully navigate this large and undulating putting surface.

Hole 5

PAR 4 | 461-440-427-406-379 YARDS

Drawing the ball on this hole makes great use of the design feature which will funnel balls towards the center of the fairway. Subtle breaks in this green will make chipping and putting difficult.

Hole 6

PAR 4 | 366-340-317-301-237 YARDS

The sixth hole offers two options off the tee. Avoid the bunker either left or right and find yourself with a short iron approach. A well guarded green requires a quick check of your distance.

Hole 7

PAR 3 | 240-210-193-182-169 YARDS

The seventh is a long and demanding par 3 that is guarded down the right side with sand and a collection area left of the green. A safe place to leave your approach shot is short of the green. Par will be a good score on this hole.

Hole 8

PAR 5 | 281-537-518-499-444 YARDS

A long straight drive sets up a strategic decision for your second shot into this risk-reward par 5. If you choose to lay up, take advantage of the generous landing area located on the right side of the fairway. Upon reaching the putting surface, this rolling green requires a deft putting touch.

Hole 9

PAR 4 | 432-410-384-360-334 YARDS

Don't be confused by this visually intimidating tee shot! The fairway is much wider than it looks, so relax and make a comfortable swing. A deep green with two levels places a premium on your lag putting.

Hole 10

PAR 4 | 464-435-399-371-348 YARDS

Bunkers down both sides of the fairway make it imperative to hit a solid drive. Favor the left side of the green and avoid challenging any back right hole location. Regardless of the wind direction, this is one of the most difficult holes on the course.

Hole 11

PAR 4 | 385-356-333-307-280 YARDS

The tee shot on this hole may not require your longest club. An elevated green with several levels requires precision with your approach shot. The greenside bunkers are nice to look at, but not to be in.

Hole 12

PAR 3 | 202-185-175-170-150 YARDS

Enjoy the panoramic view from the tee on this beautiful par 3. This long green has three levels, so judge the speed of your putt carefully.

Hole 13

PAR 4 | 394-358-335-306-277 YARDS

Check your yardage to the corner of this dogleg right hole. Your best option from the tee is to play to the left side of the fairway in order to have a look at the flagstick. An elevated green makes both depth perception and club selection dicey.

Hole 14

PAR 5 | 525-489-444-436-354 YARDS

This first par 5 on the back nine offers a realistic birdie opportunity. A solid tee shot down the left side will give the player a good look at what's ahead. Use your course management skills around the green and you will enjoy your score.

Hole 15

PAR 3 | 172-151-124-115-110 YARDS

A medium-length par 3 that requires a significantly uphill shot. The prevailing wind is against the golfer and will often cause shots to end up short or in the right front bunker. An extra club may be recommended. The undulating green puts a premium on putting.

Hole 16

PAR 4 | 419-396-376-368-347 YARDS

You must avoid the deep bunker in the center of the landing zone. Right of the bunker provides a more generous fairway, but brings the greenside bunkers into play with your approach. It is essential that you factor the hole location into the length of your approach shot. Par may be elusive.

Hole 17

PAR 5 | 554-518-500-472-444 YARDS

The penultimate hole, where accuracy is the key. An arrow straight shot avoids the many bunkers and native grasses that outline this hole. The green is narrow, deep, and features many subtle breaks.

Hole 18

PAR 4 | 431-401-383-368-344 YARDS

This wonderful finishing hole requires a strong tee shot. Favoring the left side of the fairway leaves you the best approach. Greenside bunkers will challenge any shot hit short and right. A birdie finish will truly highlight your round on the Independence course.
